Batch is an editorial design project inspired by the adaptive reuse of Balfour’s Bakery, a historic Adelaide landmark transformed into a contemporary residential space. This project explores how thoughtful design can honor the past while embracing the future.
Drawing from the building’s 1853 origins, the concept of Batch reflects themes of architectural preservation, cultural storytelling, and refined modern living.
Through bold typographic lockups, spacious editorial layouts, and a warm, heritage inspired colour palette, the visual identity blends historic charm with contemporary aesthetics. Sepia toned imagery, deep navy, and clean white space create a tactile and timeless feel.
This is a Shillington student project
